Based on the lecture notes of a school titled <U+0018>Tides in Astronomy and Astrophysics<U+0019> that brought together students and researchers, this book focuses on the fundamental theories of tides at different scales of the universe<U+0014>from tiny satellites to whole galaxies<U+0014>and on the most recent developments.
